Meadow - Soothing Botanical Mist

$24.00

Meet: meadow. A potent botanical mist designed with women in mind.

Previously called “Soothing Botanical Mist” but tweaked a bit to be extra potent.

This botanical mist was designed as a peri spray for postpartum healing, but can also be used as a facial toner, for diaper rashes, minor cuts and scrapes! The herbs are known to be soothing, help promote healing and gently wash wounds, they’re astringent and help to pull tissues back together, and they’re known to promote healthy skin when used topically.

I chose the name “meadow” because of how many flowers are in this mist. Those tender postpartum days can hold so much change and movement, so much joy and sorrow mingled together. We’ve lost some of the beautiful ancient practices that our ancestors used. I imagine grandmothers, aunts, mothers, and sisters going out into a meadow to gather beautiful flowers and bring them back to make into a soothing soak or spritz for a mama freshly postpartum, to weave them in her hair and shower her with love as she heals.

That image is what I carry when I think of “meadow.”

Postpartum is defined as a period of time after having a baby. As many of you know, I experienced 3 seasons of postpartum where I birthed but had empty arms. I grieved as my body processed the swift change and mourned the loss of my babies. I’ve also experienced postpartum where I held living babies in my arms and worked through those emotions and that time of healing. Both experiences fall under the “postpartum” category. I wish I could be there to walk each of you through postpartum, through life, through the many joys and sorrows of life! I love the “village” aspect and long for each of us to have a village around us. “Meadow” is my attempt at bringing a bit of soothing to each of you from afar. 🌱

I carefully worded the label so that all mamas can use this spray without being triggered by looking at the label.

SCENT PROFILE: The spray has an earthy and warm scent, with the helichrysum coming through first

INGREDIENTS: organic witch hazel (14% alcohol), calendula, lavender, marshmallow root, rose petals, chamomile, yarrow, gotu kola, helichrysum

TO USE: spritz on the skin as needed! It can be used as:

- A healing peri spray for after labor, or after a miscarriage, to encourage the skin to heal

- A facial toner

- A spray for wounds or scrapes

- A spray for diaper rashes or other rashes

- A spray for hemorrhoids

You can try:

Misting this on your face after a shower or a long day in the sun, and top with tallow to seal in that moisture.

Spritzing a bit on your baby's bum after a diaper change to help soothe rashes.

For use as a peri spray, you can remove the straw in the bottle so you can hold the bottle upside down and spritz. I recommend applying the spray after every time you use the bathroom. For use with hemorrhoids, apply after every time you use the bathroom.

The mist comes in a 2-ounce glass spray bottle.

  • As a little girl, I was fascinated with nature.

If you could peek into my past, you'd find a barefoot girl more comfortable when muddy, making mud villages, building treehouses, digging forts in the field, and crushing up flower petals to make perfume. I desired to be a nurse, or a doctor, when I grew up. My heart was always to help, to see a need, and to attempt to meet it. Keep reading here.
