Elderberry has traditionally been used to help with colds, fevers, and the flu. It works to help activate the immune system, allowing the body to fight off ailments.  Elderberry has been shown to help shorten the length of sickness when taken at the beginning of feeling sick. 

It contains flavonoids that stimulate the immune system. The flavonoids help to block viruses from attaching to host cells in the body. Elderberry can also help increase urine flow, bring down fevers, and gently purify the blood. 

CONTRAINDICATIONS: 

Elderberry is considered safe to be used by babies, pregnant women, nursing women, and all ages.
