Bullthistle Tincture

Cirsium vulgare

Bull thistle is most known for its ability to help treat arthritis of all types. A tall, spiky plant, bull thistle has beautiful purple flowers that attract pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and some birds. It is relative to the artichoke family and has a taste that is similar to the artichoke. 

As an astringent (a drying herb), bull thistle can be taken internally or used externally to relieve hemorrhoids. 

It can be used for inflammation and soreness in the joints, and can also support liver health and function. It is useful for stagnant liver functions where the body is not moving toxins out effectively. 

It can be used to promote gut health and combat IBS, Crohn’s, or diarrhea. Anything that seems to be irritating your gut or bowels, it can help dry things up.
