"Sol" - Herb-infused Raw Honey
This honey was crafted with my favorite hibiscus lemonade blend in mind!
This raw honey was slowly infused with all organic or wildcrafted:
Hibiscus
Nettle Leaf
Lemon Peel
Cayenne Pepper
Chili Powder
It originally started out as a bright, hibiscus honey but after my friends taste-tested it, we agreed it needed a bit of spice to round out the flavor profile. The honey has a tart top note of hibiscus, followed by a slight bitterness from the lemon peel, and earthiness from the nettle. It has a flavor that’s really similar to Chamoy, a Mexican condiment that is usually made from pickled fruit, lime juice, chili powder, and salt. It is a childhood flavor for me! The spice profile is there, but now in an overwhelming way. If you can tolerate the occasional jalapeño spice in your food you can for SURE tolerate this honey by itself! It is sweet but has that warmth to finish it off.
It is DELICIOUS.
The honey can be used any way you would normally use honey:
Drizzled on pancakes
On biscuits with a little butter
In cookies or protein bites
To sweeten teas or iced tea
To rim a glass for an herbal mocktail
As a garnish for a charcuterie board
As a dip for fruits like pineapple, green apples, and mangoes
And more!
The honey comes in a 4oz. amber glass jar, but the honey itself weighs 5.5oz.
